Location

FCP is located in Moorestown, NJ. Although we are not a religious program, our programming space is located within St. Matthew Lutheran Church: 318 Chester Ave, Moorestown, NJ 08057.


Our programming space provides three classrooms, a gymnasium, and a stage and dining area for in-house events.

Mission

Family Circle Playgroup (FCP) is a non-profit, cooperative organization that was started in the 1980’s by a group of moms who wanted to give their children a low-cost, preschool-like environment to foster social and emotional development. We continue to strive for that goal and to provide the children with fun, safe, age appropriate activities that will foster their development.


Another goal is to have our members find friendship and camaraderie with each other. Family Circle Playgroup provides a unique opportunity to form life-long friendships for our members and their children. 

Statement of Purpose

The objective of FCP is to provide an atmosphere in which both caretakers and children can socialize, learn, and grow in a cooperative environment. 

Classes 

Classes are available in the morning and afternoon, Monday through Friday, September through June. We follow the Moorestown School District Calendar.

We offer Playgroup classes for children from 12 months to 5 years old. The classes are separated by approximately six month age ranges, with 4-10 families. Morning classes meet from approximately 9:15 am - 11:30 am, and afternoon classes meet from approximately 12:30pm - 2:45pm.

We offer afternoon Homeschool classes for children 5 years old to 8 years old, with 6-10 families. Classes are held in the afternoon from approximately 12:30pm - 2:30pm.

Classes are not predetermined. Rather, parents who fill out the registration form on the Enrollment Page indicate which days and times of the week that they are available for playgroup. FCP will collect registration forms and fees. Then, in August the Registrar will match up parents who have children of similar age AND the same availability. We will notify you of your class day and time once classes are formed. Once classes are formed, all tuitions are nonrefundable. The parent stays on the premises at all times with their child. Tagalongs are welcome for an additional fee. Tagalongs are younger siblings to the enrolled child.
